RIDING LOCATIONS:

We usually ride at three locations: the nearby Hankinson Sandhills which has a new 8 mile trail, beautiful Sica Hollow State Park of South Dakota with 12 miles of trail, or the 70,200 acre North Dakota Sheyenne National Grasslands which has 32 miles of the North Country Trail.  Other possible locations are Fort Ransom. Maplewood Park, MN, or camping excursions.

Beautiful terrain may be easy riding to challenging depending on rider experience and rider preference.

Rides may include hills, pocketed sand dunes, dense trees, creeks, lakes and wildlife (plus humor of song and legendary stories).

SUGGESTIONS to Wear and Bring.

Shoes:  For your riding comfort and safety, shoes must cover your foot.  No thick soles as these don't fit the stirrups, and flip flops or sandals don't go.  We recommend wearing boots with heels.

Clothing:  We suggest that you wear long pants and long sleeve shirts to protect you from bugs and tree branches, a helmet or a hat or cap that stays on, and sunglasses for eye protection from branches.  Checking our local weather for the day may be helpful.

Additional:  Seasonal item suggestions are as follows: gloves, rain gear, coats, bug repellant, camera, and sun screen.  The additional items that are not worn or items that can fall or blow off and loose flapping items will stay with the vehicle for safety.

Food:  You may also want to bring along snacks and beverages.
