Riding lessons scheduled by appointment.

COST:

   -   The cost is $30/hour 

   -   For the neighbor kids $20 for an hour.  Half this time is ground work

                including grooming and equipment..  

    -  We offer free 10 minute introduction rides by appointment.

Our liability waiver must be signed and youth under 18 must have both parent's signatures on the waiver.  We can mail a liability waiver to get both parents signatures if both parents are not present to sign at the Huufda Hotel. 

I am particularly fond of "Centered Riding" techniques and exercises.  Adhering to principles of listening to the horse and awareness is always an education for any level rider.  Lessons should be enjoyable for both rider and horse.   As horse show judges, we enjoy results for the rider with an emphasis of  proper riding form, and rider awareness for correct leads and diagonals, nice collection, and good attitude.

We are pleased to offer a recommended package of three day "Adult Horse Vacations".   Goals are improved equitation (horse riding skill), and a relaxing mini vacation with your horse or renting one of ours.

We utilize a round pen, and the "Western & English" arenas.  The Western arena is secure for training and speed events 110x200 the other arena is for jumping and dressage.

Training horses and riders is true enjoyment at the Huufda.  Kevin and I have limited our training schedule for outside horses due to time constraints in our busy schedules.

Neighbor boy, Jordan, is standing, myself in the saddle, and warmblood horse-To Tank You in Tanks first training/riding session 8/16/02    ...   The horses aren't all this easy but it's nice when they are.

Even though we specialize in gaited horses, we appreciate the horse in the wide variety of its' breeds.  For horse training, we treat each horse as an individual.  We require a negative coggins, current shots, recent farrier work, and our release of liability signed.  The fee is $500/month with $250 payable at the beginning of training and one month minimum.  For further information on how the horses are trained, click on the Heartbeat Training Theory  link.
