Parents Apply for an Auto Loan for Their Children

Parents go out and apply for auto loans for their children to drive new cars. This is simply a vain choice on the part of the parents. Some parents think their new drivers have to have a fancy new car or truck to drive around in. So they apply for an auto loan to make this happen. The auto loan will have to be in the parents name, meaning that the parents end up being the ones responsible for paying back the auto loan. If the child wrecks the new car or new truck, their license may be taken away.

If their license is taken away even for speeding tickets, then who is going to drive that new car or new truck that their parents are paying for. Well, I guess no body is going to. And still this means that the parents are going to be held responsible for paying back that auto loan.

Children Do Not Repay the Auto Loans

Because children can not get an auto loan they can not be held responsible for paying back an auto loan. If a parent decides to get a new car or truck for their child and the child wrecks the new car or truck beyond repair, well guess who pays for that loan any way. Yes, that's right the parents do. The child can not be held responsible for any of it. The child is held responsible for their reckless driving. The child will get points against their drivers license.

These points are going to make their insurance rates go up. The points on their drivers license will also make their personal credit report scores low if they incur too many. If the child gets enough points against their license they will have their drivers licenses revoked.

Parents Sorry They Have to Repay Auto Loans for Their Children

After the facts have set in with the parents who have gone and received an auto loan for their under experienced child to have a new car or a new truck, they are sorry they ever did that. When the child goes out and tears up the new car or the new truck, but the parents still have to pay for the loan any way, well they are sorry people. When a parent has to pay for a loan for a torn up vehicle, they are sure not to make this mistake again.

Parents that have made this mistake need to educate the parents who are about to make this same mistake. If their child has wrecked the new car or new truck or had their drivers license taken for speeding, the loan still has to be payed for.

Children with a Bad Driving Record

Children that have had an accident in an auto that their parents have bought for them will still get points against their license. Points against their license will keep them from getting future auto loans for themselves. Even if they have a parent signing for them.
