Annual or Single? That is the question.
Over the next few months hundreds of thousands of Brits will be taking to the slopes. But how many will also have thought, or be thinking about, their summer holiday?
Statistics show that during 2002, 41% of people, on average, took two holidays*. However with figures also showing that the majority of these holidays were covered by single trip policies, one provider is advising consumers to think carefully about the type of policy that will best suit their needs - and their pockets.
Perry Wilson, from travel insurance specialist InsureandGo, explains: “People are now taking at least two holidays abroad each year and increasing numbers are also taking advantage of the cheap short breaks that are now available. If you know that you are going to take a winter and a summer break it makes sense, when you compare the cost of two single trip policies to that of an annual, to get covered for the whole year and use the money you have saved where it counts – on holiday!”
InsureandGo’s annual policies include 17 days** winter sports cover and over 40 adventure sports automatically. Plus kids under 18 are insured for free.
Perry says: “Being a specialist means we are able to provide flexible, low cost but high value cover. And by offering a range of policy options and variations, from budget packages to excess waivers to extreme ski, business, company travel insurance and golf cover, we ensure that it’s as easy as possible for consumers to have the insurance they need at the lowest prices.”
