Remembering Jack Wallace

Photo of Jack Wallace.John A. (Jack) Wallace, founder, first Director and President Emeritus of the School for International Training, died of heart disease on June 11, 2004. A true visionary, Jack Wallace was instrumental in launching and building an academic institution dedicated to fostering peace and intercultural understanding around the world. His goal 40 years ago -- to keep learners at the center no matter where in the world they are, what learning style they emply, or when and how they choose to learn -- continues to be SIT's goal today.

SIT's 40th Anniversary year is dedicated to Jack Wallace's spirit, his wisdom, and his wit. His was the life of of a great educator. He taught us all. It is now ours to carry forward his dreams and vision for a better world.
