I Always See Those Low Rate Credit Cards Advertised is It Really Possible to Get One?
You can get a low rate credit card but you have to have good credit. You can think of a low rate credit card as a kind of reward for your good credit. Think of a low rate credit in these terms, the higher your credit score the lower your interest rate. So if you have really good credit you can get a low rate credit card. This is not to say you will never get a low rate credit card. Each time you make a monthly payment on time that helps build your credit score.
This is hard to do sometimes because of your higher interest rate on your credit card, but you must make your payments on time. Eventually your credit score will get higher and when you get a higher credit score you will be able to renew the one you have or secure a new one at a lower interest rate. Even though you don't have a low rate credit card yet even a few points lower in interest will make it easier for you pay.
You will find that if you keep making the payments on time eventually you will qualify for the low rate.
What Kind of Credit Do I Need to Get a Low Rate Credit Card?
You need to have very good credit to qualify for a low rate credit card. However this does not mean you can't get a lower interest rate as your credit score grows. Each time you make a purchase and you receive your monthly statement make payments on that purchase in a timely manner. If you continue to do this over time your credit score will get higher. When your credit score is high your interest rate is low.
Even if you can't qualify for the low rate as of now keep making your payments on time and it will get lower. you will find as your credit gets better and your interest rate is lower it is much easier to make your monthly payments. Keep on making your payments and a low rate credit card will one day be yours.

In order to secure a low credit card you must have very good credit. But if you have a credit now and have made all of your payments on time it is possible to call the company who issued you the credit card and ask for a lower interest rate on the credit card. This does not necessarily mean they will grant you one but it is possible. As well the more on time payments you make on your credit the more your credit score will build when you have maintained and established a good credit score you will be eligible to receive lower interest rates when you renew your credit card.
