Classical Cantonese cuisine with Szechwan specialties is served in this striking restaurant, winner of a 2000 Gold Key design award. Among designer Tony Chi's dramatic decor accents: a waterwall at the entryway, two 15-foot statues at the dining room entrance, and sheer curtains draped from the dining room's 30-foot ceiling to ensure privacy in booths below.

Chef Raymond Tse cooks to order such favorites as black peppered beef tenderloin with asparagus, kung pao lobster with peanuts, hoisin sauce, sesame paste and Chinese vegetables, and traditional Hong Kong-style seafood noodles with shrimp, scallops, squid, lobster, and choy sum.

All entrees are served on Limoges china in updated classical Chinese forms. In addition to the main dining room, Shanghai Lilly features four private dining rooms for more intimate encounters.
