A high apr on your credit card does make it difficult to get out of debt and raise your credit score. Unfortunately the only way to get a lower apr is to have good credit so it may feel like you are going in circles some days. It is important you are an educated consumer and check on credit card aprs.

This is because you might qualify for an apr that is much lower than you currently have. By knowing this information ahead of time you will not apply for a credit card that has an apr that is much higher than the others.
