     Our dining room is available for private functions  365 days a year by special arrangement for groups as small as 2 guests and as large as 50.  We will customize your menu and work with you to make sure you receive the most value for you and your guests function. 

      We offer a graceful and private setting for you and your guests and you will experience unequaled cuisine, rich in flavor and presentation. Many guests claim we have “the finest food available in the area.”  

      Our standard fare could be described as gourmet comfort food. We make and serve homemade bread and desserts, specially cut meats, seafood purchased the day of serving and sauces made from real butter and cream. Our signature salads and homemade raspberry vinaigrette draw raves from customers. Our food is ordered and prepared per plate to guarantee freshness and flavor.

      Only choose Thayer's when you want to have a fine memorable event that will make a great impression for a reasonable cost.  Thayer's offers  beautiful surroundings that are comfortable. We are people people that are proud of where we work and what we do. We take joy in being competent, talented,  friendly and helpful. 

     Be prepared to converse, relax and enjoy luscious, beautifully presented meals, as a Thayer dining experience lasts about 2 ½ to 3 hours.      When you are planning a family reunion, business or training meeting, retreat, anniversary celebration, graduation, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, team building event, holiday party,  or just friends getting together think Thayer's!  We take pride in creating an unforgettable celebration remembered fondly by all those participating. 

     Where we really shine is with small first and second weddings,   We have access to professional musicians, DJ's,  entertainers, limo services, carriage rides, decorators, and charters to make weddings even more spectacular.

*Please Note:

• The minimum charge for a private function is $500, excluding Minnesota's 6.5% State sales tax, Service-Gratuities and any guestroom reservations. 

• Private functions require a non-refundable payment of $1,000 of the event total or full payment which ever is less, to secure the date. This payment is deducted from your event's total cost. The remaining balance is due 15 days prior to your function.

• A 20% service charge-gratuity and a 6.5% sales tax are added to all private events.

• We accept Visa, MC, American Express, Discover, cash & personal checks. 

• We offer a courtesy discount to you and your guests when booking guest rooms for the same evening as your function.

• All Event payments are non-refundable. If a private function is cancelled for any reason the amounts paid to Thayer's become the automatic cancellation fee. 
• Event dates are not-exchangeable. Once payment has been made, an we have accepted your reservation, the date is secured & belongs to you. 
• We understand that emergencies happen. Under some circumstances, a rain check valid for 6 months may be given to you but, that decision is totally up to Sharon
• Additional Event balances, open bar and any extras that are added, are due the same day as the function.
• When arranging for your event,  please consider the ages of  those attending. We do not permit children under 16 years to attend an interactive murder mystery.  
• No videos of Murder Mystery Dinners are allowed. Still photos are fine.   
• Thayer's reserves the right to accept, reject and or cancel any reservation; including, but not to be solely defined by the terms, private party, wedding, guest room reservation,  Mystery Dinner,  Special Event or Psychic reading, due to unforeseen circumstances.  
• Should a cancellation by Thayer's happen, Thayer's is responsible to return to the original purchaser the full amount paid to Thayer's. Thayer's, it's owner, assignees and/or employees will be held harmless for any additional costs or inconvenience the cancellation may cause.
