When selecting traffic school option to satisfy your citation you must certify, pursuant to Florida Statute 318.14(9), that you have not elected to attend traffic school within the preceding 12 months and that you have not elected to attend traffic school more than 5 times within your lifetime in order to qualify for this option. School must be completed in the state of Florida.
Forward your check payable to PALM BEACH COUNTY in the amount of $104.70 for a moving violation except speeding. (If you are cited for speeding, see separate speeding page for the correct amount.)
Paying a ticket by credit card over the phone can be accomplished in two to three minutes. The ticket payer needs to know the citation number and have a VISA or MasterCard credit card available. Debit cards are not accepted by this system. The phone number for paying under this system is (561) 355-2523 or 888-760-9201 from South County or the Glades. The caller must hit selection No. 2. The system, which offers a Spanish language option, is available from 6 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday, and 6 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Within 10 days of electing traffic school it is your responsibility to contact the agency of your choice (see the yellow pages of your phone directory for a list of schools under "Traffic Schools" to obtain fee and enrollment information). You must attend the class within the next 90 days from the day of payment. The enrollment fee is in addition to any fine for the violation.
If you attend in Palm Beach County, the agency will notify the Clerk of your school completion. You may verify receipt of completion by the clerk at (561) 355-2994.
If you attend outside Palm Beach County, you must send the proof of completion to the clerk. Failure to complete the school will result in a suspension of your driver license, points assessed against your driving record and additional costs.
