In all honesty, one could probably check into a Las Vegas hotel and never leave until the vacation is over, as many hotels in Las Vegas include their very own casino, pools, shopping centers, restaurants and even adventure parks, making it a playground for adults and kids alike.
Stay at a hotel on the Las Vegas strip and you'll be in close proximity to roller coasters, pirate ships, a pyramid and of course casinos. Also right there on the strip is the Imperial Palace Auto Collection, a must for any car buff; the exhibit is home to over 200 cars of past presidents, gangsters and dictators.

For something a little different in Las Vegas, go about a mile north of downtown and see the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park.
