Terms of Use

1. The forums provided by UK Online Finance (UKOF) are to be used for discussing financial matters only.

2. Users must not use UKOF Forums to harass, threaten or attack anyone or otherwise behave in any way which would cause annoyance or distress to other users. In particular, users must not use UKOF Forums for the following purposes:

a) To transmit or knowingly receive content and/or language that is in any way unlawful, threatening, offensive, or in breach of any obligations of confidence. This includes the use of swear words and the use of offensive nicknames.
b) To flood or “spam” UKOF Forums or any user who posts in the UKOF Forums.
c) To post links to illigal or unapropriate web addresses.
d) To provide instructions for illegal or otherwise harmful activities.
e) To transmit or knowingly receive information relating to (or include links to) pornography, pirated software and/or computer games or other counterfeit goods.
f) To collect and/or distribute personal data concerning other users of UKOF Forums.
g) To impersonate another person, whether a friend, family member or celebrity.
h) For the purpose of commercial gain. This includes the transmission of advertisements and any other attempts to generate business from other users of UKOF Forums.
i) To post chain letters or pyramid schemes.

Users should not act in any way to disrupt the flow of an ongoing discussion. If a user does not wish to participate in an ongoing discussion, or wishes to discuss a non-related topic, they are requested to begin another message or go to the relevant forum.

Your responsibilities

1. You may be held legally accountable for what you say or do online. In particular, you may be held liable for any defamatory comments, threats and untrue statements or other illegal or fraudulent claims made by you.

2. You may be held accountable for any breach of the rights of a third party if you have not obtained their prior consent to the use of their property.

3. You agree and warrant that you will comply with the terms of any agreement required by the owner or licensor of any intellectual property rights as may exist in all software and information you access or post via UKOF Forums and to indemnify UKOF against any action or cost suffered or incurred by UKOF as a result of a breach by you of this term.

Disclaimer

1. UKOF does not undertake to monitor every communication or the conduct of every user of the UKOF Forums service. UKOF Forums monitors may be online from time-to-time to ensure that other users are adhering to the Forums Rules. Any monitoring activity may be undertaken by UKOF or its appointed agent, acting on its behalf.

2. UKOF will make its best endeavour to promptly edit or remove content which is reported to it, and it agrees based on its sole judgement - is in breach of the Forums Rules, but cannot guarantee to do so.

3. Neither UKOF nor its third party contractors will be liable for the content of any material accessed via the Internet or any adverse treatment of any information placed by you anywhere on the Internet or any loss or damage that you may suffer as a result.

4. UKOF does not endorse any opinions expressed by other users of UKOF Forums.

5. UKOF reserves the right at its sole discretion to remove material from Freeserve Forums at any time.

6. UKOF Forums consists of information posted by third parties. As a result, UKOF accepts no liability in respect to the accuracy or truthfulness of any advice, information or data posted online or any responsibility for the consequences of your acting in reliance on such information.

7. This disclaimer does exclude liability for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence.

8. If you fail to observe the Forums Rules, UKOF reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exclude you (either temporarily or permanently) from UKOF Forums depending on the nature and severity of your breach.

9. UKOF reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny access to UKOF Forums for repeated or serious breaches of the Forums Rules.

10. UKOF reserves the right to change the Forums Rules at any time and will post details and notification of any such changes online.

11. By accepting the Forums Rules you agree that UKOF may release your information (both present and past) where UKOF believes that you have breached the Forums Rules or have used UKOF Forums to commit unlawful acts. We also reserve the right to disclose your personal information where required to do so by law and where we deem it appropriate in response to complaints of a substantial nature.
