This past season had some unique features. We experienced a record breaking early sockeye run in June followed by a second sockeye run closure in early August. Then the silvers arrived and eagerly took our flies into late September. We also witnessed three periods of extreme high water. While this changed our approach some days, it did not keep us from catching fish. In some cases, we even found the trout and dollies more concentrated. All in all, I feel fortunate to have experienced another season on the river that has captured my heart.
