OANDA FXTrade Confidentiality and Privacy Policy
For the purpose of operating
the OANDA FXTrade service, OANDA maintains certain information
on FXTrade customers and their FXTrade Accounts. This includes
all information provided when opening the account, such as
the name, address, Social Security Number, bank references,
annual income and estimated net worth. It also includes the
Account Number, and all transactions that occur on the account,
including all deposits and withdrawals, as well as all trades.
OANDA will not sell, trade, or
disclose to third parties any customer identifiable information
with the following exceptions: OANDA will disclose identifiable
information to third parties about customer Accounts:
- Where it is necessary for
completing deposits or withdrawals; or
- In order to verify the existence
and condition of the Account for a third party, such as
a credit bureau or merchant; or
- In order to comply with a government
agency, court orders, or the law; or
- To governmental regulatory
authorities as authorized by law; or
- If the customer gives OANDA
explicit written permission.
When OANDA uses other agents,
contractors or companies to perform services on its behalf,
OANDA will ensure that the company protects your customer
identifiable information consistent with this Policy. For
example, OANDA will disclose customer identifiable information
to its attorneys, accountants and auditors for the purpose
of operating the company, but will make sure that they protect
this information consistent with this policy.
OANDA safeguards this information by storing it only on computer
system located behind secure firewalls and by having access
controls limit accessibility even to OANDA employees. Access
to the information is made available only on a need-to-know
basis.
