NATURALIZATION/CITIZENSHIP INFORMATION SHEET

The following provides basic information and qualifications necessary to obtaining citizenship.

1. To obtain citizenship, you should qualify under at least ONE of the tests below:

A. Have you
been a green card holder for at least 5 years
AND been in the U.S. for at least 30 months of the last 5 years
AND had no overseas trips that lasted more than six months?

B. Have you
been a green card holder for at least 3 years
AND currently married to the same U. S. citizen for the last 3 years
AND your spouse has been a U. S. citizen for the last 3 years
AND been in the U.S. for at least 18 months of the last 3 years
AND had no overseas trips that lasted more than six months?

C. You are presently in the Armed Forces
(or been honorably discharged in the last 6 months)
AND you have served in the Armed Forces for at least 3 years.

PLEASE NOTE: There are other qualification tests under which a person can qualify for citizenship, but they are not that common. If you have any questions about whether you are eligible for citizenship, please call our office at (702) 366-9990.

2. Since immigration is federal law, the law office of Matthew J. Peirce, Esq., is qualified to file immigration paperwork in any state of the United States.

3. Our office charges the amount of $1,000.00 in attorney’s fees, plus the amount of $310.00 in filing fees and fingerprinting costs, which amounts to a total of $1,310.00.

4. If you wish to proceed, you may download the "Instructions and fill-in forms" sheet which will allow our offices to get all necessary information to fill out the required immigration forms. The link will allow you to obtain this document in PDF format (requires Adobe Acrobat). Instructions for the paperwork are included in the download.

Once you open the "Instructions and fill-in forms" sheet, please save a copy on your hard drive. Please type in all the information requested and then print out a copy. Please send the printout, along with your payment, to our office address, which is listed on the fee payment sheet.
