Part of the reason Bali & Lombok are considered
paradise, is their climate.
You can expect year round daytime temperatures
of 30 to 34 degrees Celsius, that's 86 to about 93 Fahrenheit,
in the areas around sea level. The rainy season, when you will
probably experience torrential downpours (rather than day long
light rain), runs from October to March. During this time, the
humidity can be unbearable for some (frequently in the high
90's).
However, you will find regional variations. For
example, from Ubud to the lakes / mountains, the temperatures
are often quite a few degrees lower and these areas more prone
to rainfall. Along the north coast, you are likely to experience
less rain during the rainy season (a point well worth remembering
if you plan to holiday at that time). Also, the east coast around
Amed / Lipah has a deserved reputation for being that much hotter
and drier than the rest of these islands.
