in the heart of Florence, it offers their guests an exclusive accommodation
in Rooms and independent Luxury Suites designed for those who loves
art, italian culture and searches for a very unique stay.
Cristina & Giuseppe, the owners, by restoring their house, spread
out in two floors of a XVIII century building, have created a place
with enchanting interiors wich preserves the original architecture
of the florentine palace: at the ground floor the original structure
of an 18th century “garden theatre” was brought back
to light during the restoration and converted to the Theatre Suite
De Luxe... All the doors of the 5 Suites open onto a flowered equipped
patio with an ancient fountain and old earthen vases: an ideal place
to read a book or take a tea in summer. While at the first floor,
in a wing of the large palace where the owners live, there are 3
enchanting B&B rooms.
ACCOMMODATION
DOUBLE ROOMS - bed & breakfasts
Three romantic double rooms, very quiet, located at the first
floor of the palace. In florentine style, all with antique furniture
and original ancient floor. The colour of the painted coffered ceilings
gives the name to each room: Purple/Green/Blue..
Each room has air conditioning and private bathrooms, originally
decorated with old hand-painted majolicas.
Guests will find in their rooms a set with an electric kettle and
some kinds of tea and infusions ideal for a break, or to prepare
the breakfast by themselves, buying croissants at the Coffee House
close to home.
LUXURY
TOWNHOUSE SUITES - 2/3 people
Located at the ground floor, all the five Suites have been restored
with great care and have antique furniture, original floors, coffered
ceilings, air conditioning.
Enchanting interiors and a unique atmosphere, make the suites ideal
for honeymooners, but also for who is in Florence for businness
and needs an entertainment Suite. All the doors of the rooms open
onto an internal courtyard.
BREAKFAST
For the guests in the double rooms Cristina prepares the breakfast
and serves it in the room (fresh pastries, croissants, some home
made cakes/savoury cakes, organic bread and jams. Coffee, tea, fresh
milk, juices...)
The guests in the Suites will have breakfast at the Coffee House
in front of the home. The voucher for breakfast includes milk, coffee,
cappuccino, chocolate, juices, tea, pastries, savoury cakes. On
request “international breakfast”.

Duomo
or Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore: the task of building the
Duomo, on the site of the old church S. Reparata, was entrusted to Arnolfo
di Cambio, in the year 1296. Following his death (1302), Giotto
was appointed to the supervise building work but he devoted himself mainly
to the Campanile. Later in 1357 Francesco Talenti and
Giovanni di Lapo Ghini continued work on the Duomo of
Florence enlarging the original Arnolfo's design. 
Giotto's
Campanile (bell-tower): interesting example of the gothic architecture
in Italy, it's an imposing marble tower on square plan closed by octagonal
pilasters at the corners. Build next to the Florence Duomo, on the original
design by Giotto, was begun in 1334 by the artist and
then continued by his successor, Andrea Pisano, who completed
the original structure with the bas-relief panels. The building was completed
by Francesco Talenti in 1359 with the upper storeys,
the gothic windows and the terrace. 
Fortezza
da Basso: the 'fortress of San Giovanni', renamed 'da Basso'
to be distinguished from that of Belvedere, was built by the Medici
family in the 16th century when they returned to power in Florence.
