Managing Automation's first annual Progressive Manufacturing Awards recognize six manufacturing companies who have transformed into progressive manufacturers by mastering at least one of the new set of core competencies or disciplines.

One company that has demonstrated mastery of all disciplines (or at least several) will be selected by our judges as the Progressive Manufacturer of the Year. All seven winners will be featured in March 2005 Managing Automation print and online properties, and honored at the Managing Automation Progressive Manufacturing Summit in New Orleans, March 2005. Winners will be contacted well in advance of the event.

Companies or divisions/subsidiaries of companies are eligible to submit nominations. Companies or divisions based anywhere in the world may be nominated. A panel of Managing Automation editors and manufacturing experts will evaluate nominations based on the criteria covered in the Award Selection Methodology section.
