Bay of Ahiune
Joining Forum Fickle is the hand of fate; indeed the old saying is true. For who would expect, after accepting death as inevitable, to wake upon the shores of a tropical isle and by some twist of irony be granted a second chance? Between the outstretched branches of Silivren Creek rests a golden bay; swaying grasses and scattered palms edge the coast and waves of crystal lap against the sand. Behind lies an endless expanse of blue, ahead, a mountain blanketed by trees looms in the distance. There remains but one choice, but be warned— to set foot beyond the creek without permission is to forfeit a life.

Mount Apaloi
Towering a majestic 3042 feet above sea level, the peak of Apaloi is the highest point on the island and offers an eagle’s-eye view of Kiawae and the surrounding ocean – to those with the stamina to reach the top. Shadowing the Leiku Wetlands near the centre of the isle, the rocky flank of the Mountain forms a barrier between north and south. Pines blanket the lower slopes; however, the vegetation thins near the barren summit, leaving only scrub brush and a few hardy copses of trees to partially cover the stone.

Hiteroj Cove
Within a narrow inlet on the northern coast lies the sheltered Hiteroj Cove, a gem indeed for those with a taste for exploration. Buffered from waves and wind by the largest of Kiawae’s four islets, the rocky shoreline is intricately riddled with crevices and tide-pools, and the presence of a lone, towering pillar of stone upon the beach is a mystery beckoning to be solved. A rich landscape it is in all respects; for the water’s surface is clear as a looking-glass, and a bright, flourishing coral reef is easily visible below the waves.

Leiku Wetlands
Nestled in the lowland basin at the foot of Apaloi Mountain, the Leiku Wetlands are watered by runoffs from a lake at each flank. Though the surface may seem dry, blanketed with tussocks of grass and brush, here the ground beneath is muddy, soft and saturated and only fools tread carelessly. A constant stream of mist emanates from some unknown source nearby, and most days the marshes lie under a heavy shroud of fog. An eerie place it is to be sure... and yet strangely alluring.

Shayion Caverns
The entrances to Shayion Caverns are few and far-between along the barren eastern coast, hidden and overgrown with brush. And yet they are all linked - in a twisting, intricate maze of countless tunnels delving beneath both land and sea. A veritable labyrinth Shayion is, dangerous to the uninformed, and yet somehow the dark, gloomy passages beckon to be explored. For who can tell what is to be found in the deep places of the world?

Claimed Territories
|
|
Alagos Valley
Primas - Verzacht & Varian Ace Resting along the northeastern heights of the island, the green bowl of Alagos Valley is long and narrow. A landscape of lush grasses and small copses of trees, this windswept territory drops sharply in a breathtaking ridge of bluffs along the ocean. The most adaptable packland, Alagos is known for its rolling hills and generous fertility. The cold, clear lake that forms the eastern border is a tranquil spot for contemplation, and the dense trees growing along its banks provide shelter for the weary.

Iavas Forest
Prima - Mirari Named for the rich, ancient grove of towering trees that dominates the packland, Iavas Forest stands a silent legacy of centuries long past. To step inside the shaded borders of this woodland is to enter an ethereal new domain, for the mist, dappled sunlight and fleeting shadows streaming from the canopy give the forest an almost otherworldly quality. Located on the western coast of Kiawae and encircling a small lake as well as a rolling expanse of grassland, the territory truly is a little piece of paradise.

Maponyea Point
Primas - Koremii & Travia
Maponyea Point, jutting from the southern coast of Kiawae, sparkles as a tropical eden that is rarely seen or heard of in the lands explored by man. Both a sprawling oasis of palm trees and a true pine forest grace this scenic territory, separated by expansive sand-dunes, rolling green meadows and a winding spring that divides east from west. A myriad of tropical birds find refuge in the branches, each morning awakening the southern shores of Kiawae with a vivid chorus of song.

Leaders' Hideout
Somewhere on the island of Kiawae looms a gigantic monolith of a palm tree... but we aren't telling where ;). Tap the root on the left twice, give the pointy stub surrounded by scratches a good twist, and hit the dark spot nine feet up with an over-ripe mango. Voila! Instant admittance to the Leaders' Hideout within the hollow trunk, where the staff hatch up all manner of secret plots concerning the board. Intruders beware, lest you find yourself tumbling into a crocodile pit or some other unpleasant booby trap hidden around the tree.
