Travel to Japan On October 12-13, Deputy Secretary Armitage visited Tokyo, Japan for policy discussions in Tokyo with his Japanese counterpart, Vice Foreign Minister Yukio Takeuchi. He also had bilateral meetings with a range of Japanese government and public officials.
