The Facility Technician 3 is a highly skilled specialist who provides professional service and support to the Facilities department, outside contractors, internal/external customers and for company functions and events. This person consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative. The Facility Technician 3 has good working knowledge of building systems and operating equipment, is able to read blueprints and schematics and uses technical expertise and resources to resolve complex issues. Leads and supervises other non-exempt personnel. Additional duties to be performed as needed but not limited to the below.
Key Responsibilities
? Troubleshoot, maintain and repair the facility?s structure, equipment and grounds.? Provide technical support to facility engineers, project managers and construction teams.
? Handle emergency situations where immediate resolution is critical.
? Prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks. ? Administer and/or support preventive maintenance programs and building management systems.
? Supports energy conservation efforts.
? Support company fire drills and safety programs, company functions and events.
? Provide after hours support via overtime assistance list.? Additional duties and responsibilities as required to meet business needs.
? Support all moves/adds/changes? Contribute information for internal space planning program.
Accountability
? Receive instruction and direction from the facility manager. ? Follow local, state and federal safety regulations and applicable building codes.
? Establish positive relations with internal and external customers.
? Make observations, recommendations and changes to improve efficiency of operating systems.
? Report safety and security violations.
Leadership
? Self-starter, highly motivated.
? Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
? Often leads or supervises the activities of other non-exempt personnel.
? Contributes to the development of procedures and techniques.? Team player with strong leadership ability. Promotes unity within organization.
? Supervise contractors to complete outsourced assignments.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
? Minimum 5 years facility maintenance experience? Familiar with common industry practices and standards.? Safely works on electrical systems up to 600 volts ac/dc.? Demonstrated ability to handle complex issues in emergency situations.
? Applies technical skills and company policies and procedures to complete assignments.
? Uses specialized test equipment and tools to troubleshoot complex issues.
? Follows lockout-tag (LOTO) policy when working in hazardous situations.? Communicates clearly with all customers. Provides exemplary customer service.
? Computer literate. Understands basic office applications. Creates spreadsheets and formatted word documents.
