Technical Requirements
OANDA FXTrade Platform - Technical Requirements
If you have problems running OANDA's FXTrade or FXGame, please make sure to
go through the hardware, software and Internet connection requirements below.
You can run our tests to make sure your system has the minimum requirements
for using OANDA's FXTrade Platform.

recommended) |
FXTrade Platform should run
on a slower processor but at a correspondingly slower speed. |
| 32 MB memory (64 MB recommended) |
With less memory system performance will be slow. |
| 640 by 480 pixel display (800x600
recommended) |
On a smaller screen you will not be able to view
the entire FXTrade Platform without scrolling. |
| 16-bit color display (32-bit
recommended) |
With 8-bit color (256 colors) you will notice banding
and graininess rather than smooth color contours. |

The FXTrade Platform should run on most systems running a Web browser with
Java support. Please make sure to run the FXTrade
Java Test before starting the Platform. |

or Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption

FXTrade
is a Web based platform that allows you to login to your account and trade
currencies. Currently, you need to use a Java enabled Web browser to log
in and start the FXTrade Platform. 128-bit encryption is needed to protect
your login and password in transmission. |

need to enable Java in your browser to be able to open the FXTrade User
Interface. |

few of the documents are in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Without this plugin
you will not be able to view them. These documents are essential to opening
an OANDA FXTrade account. |

World Wide Web |
In addition to
your Web browser, you will need access to the Web. Consult your Internet
service provider or you network administrator or contact
our technical support team. |
You need to use
your Web browser to register and login to your FXTrade or FXGame accounts.

| E-mail |
You will need
to install and activate the e-mail features of the browser. You will also
need an e-mail account on your Internet server. |
You will receive
your username and password through your e-mail account. You may use an active
Web based e-mail account under your name for this purpose. |
