The game fishing industry in Thailand is still in its infancy. As such, there is quite a bit a game fish to be found in the area waters. Some of the light tackle fish include Sea Bass, Queenfish, Mangrove Jack, and Dorado, while out in deeper water swim bigger fish such as black marlin and sailfish. The fishing around Phuket is good all year long. The months of June to October, during the southwest monsoon, are paticularly good for Sailfish and Wahoo. September to December are good to go after Black Marlin. |
