ACCOMMODATION ADVERTISING
We have an extensive range of mainly specialised
accommodation providers advertised on this website, accessible through our
ACCOMMODATION FINDER FACILITY. Anybody booking accommodation via this site
should read and observe this disclaimer before making a booking. The ShRFB
cannot guarantee quality or standards of any accommodation listed or booked
through this site. Most of those advertised are in fact Irish Tourist
Board approved where you will have recourse to lodge a grievance or complaint
should this arise. A very small number listed are not officially
approved or are approved by a different marketing body, but are known to offer
good, clean and often homely accommodation for anglers. Where accommodation is
officially approved, we state this in the advertisement with relevant star
rating highlighted as appropriate. Anybody with a grievance should take
the matter up initially with the accommodation provider and failing satisfaction
there to use other available legal avenues. We would however request that you
notify us so we may investigate the matter and assist where we can. For

SERVICES ADVERTISING
We provide a comprehensive
advertised listing for Boat and Ghillie/Guide hire and other
ANGLING SERVICES in the
region should you care to book these. In the interest of your safety please
check out if your boat hire or other operator offers or has public liability insurance to
cover you while you are using their equipment or whether you have this through
your travel insurance. The Shannon Regional Fisheries Board cannot accept
any responsibility for accidental damage or personal injury claims arising out
of any accident which may occur while you are using any boat, outboard motor or
any other equipment hired to you by any operator advertised on this website. In
regard to other supporting services advertised on this site, we accept no
responsibility for any grievances that a third party may have. Any grievance
should be taken up in the first instance with the service provider or failing
satisfaction there to explore other legal avenues available to you. We
will of course assist where we can.
Advertising Procedure: Advertisers are
requested to complete an official application form and submit to the
Board for approval accompanied by the appropriate fee. Application
Forms are downloadable or can be requested or sent by ‘snail mail’.
Application submissions received are used to generate your ad, which
is administered by Board staff and published online by the
webmaster. Each year, renewal notices are sent out with existing ad
details, requesting any ad amendments to be furnished with the
renewal fee. This is in compliance with your right of rectification
or erasure under the data protection act. Where renewal fees are not
received in time, we duly remove the ad from our database systems in
compliance with our audit obligations and your privacy.

ANGLING CONTRIBUTION
We invite reporters and contributors to contribute
to our angling news column or to submit angling advice notes which
we use to bolster fisheries content from an angling perspective
(local fishing guides). It allows anglers to interact directly with the
contributor, connects real people and thus helps to build an online
angling community. We reserve the right to refuse, edit or omit
any contribution at our sole discretion should this prove necessary. To verify report submissions we disclose full personal
contact particulars including phone numbers and sometimes email
addresses which is clearly stated in each online form provided for
