Repair Your Bad Credit with a Debt Consolidation Loan
If you need to repair your credit, a debt consolidation loan may help. Consolidating all your past due bills into one smaller monthly payment may just be the answer for you and your family. You can get an appointment with a loan specialist from your local bank to fill out an application. The bank will need your employment information, social security number, name, address, phone number, debt information, past tax returns and W-2's.
With all this information you have provided your bank, they can get a credit report and complete an application for you to hopefully get approved for a debt consolidation loan. After consolidating all your debt in to one monthly payment, you could be surprised at the amount of money you may be able to save every month.
Repair Your Credit Report from Errors
If you have seen a copy of your credit report and have found some things that seem not to be right, you can request the credit reporting agency to repair those errors for you. If the error is a past due bill that you believe you have already payed, well this is a little harder to get fixed. You must appeal the credit agency about the wrong billing information on your report. The agency will need proof of the fact that the bill in mention has been paid. After the appeal has been approved, if you have supplied enough information, the agency will repair the error on your credit report.
Credit Repair Counselors, Good Idea or Bad Idea
Do credit repair counselors really help? Well I think that they may be able to help you if you do not really have a large amount of debt. If you are like a lot of us and have a large amount of debt before you go to get help, they probably can not help you much. If you want to start saving money before you rack up a lot of debt, the counselors can help you with that. Repairing your credit is a long process. If you go with a credit repair counselor they can help you to budget your money. Budgeting your money will allow you to stay out of debt and even get out of debt.
Credit Repair for the Unemployed
Repairing your credit is hard enough if you have a good job. If you have no job, repairing your credit can be almost impossible. Unemployed people have no way of paying bills, past due or present. They can not get a loan. They can ask a credit repair counselor for help. The credit repair counselor is going to tell the unemployed person to get a job. If you are out of work because of an injury, this is a different story.
One would think that you could just get disability for being off work because of an injury. In truth if you are off work because of an injury that did not incur while working you may have to wait up to one year. If you are just not working, start today looking for a job so people around you can help you to repair your credit.
