Kameole II beach
Heavy rains in the morning leave full waterfalls in the afternoon, on the road to the Kapou gap.

The old wheels are no longer needed...as computers bring water to the sugarcane fields.
The professional artists' favorite photo of the Exhibit.

Here we are around 9000 ft. at Holua wilderness cabin looking down on the clouds. If you dare, hike 20+ miles in a day through the crater and down the Kaupo Gap to the ocean. Dry cactus to wet jungle.
Friends have told me they call this "Roots".

In the 1800s, highland rivers were tapped by a series of diversion channels to provide water for the growing sugarcane industry.

Man-made water irrigation systems were built where the rain forests grow fast.
Abandoned, the concrete Sugar Mill is powerless against the Banyon tree (35mm). Photographer Geoff Fricker sets up for one of his Exhibit photos.
