A virtual green building library, the EBN Archives provides quick access to information on a wide range of topics--from land use planning and energy efficiency to recycled-content materials and indoor air quality. The CD features all back issues of Environmental Building News from the very first, in 1992, through the end of 2003. Updated annually, the Archives are fully searchable and provide instant access to hundreds of articles from the newsletter, exactly as they appeared in print.

You can quickly find information with the built-in AdobeĀ® Reader text-search function. Once found, an article can be browsed, enlarged for reading on the screen, or printed out in the same format as it was originally published--with photos and illustrations.

  • Contents by LEEDĀ® credit menu provides quick links to articles sorted according to the 41 credit criteria of the LEED green building rating system.
  • 99 back issues of EBN--more than 1,500 pages--plus a full text search with results hotlinked to the articles.
  • Links to current manufacturer contact information for manufacturers of products that are also included in our GreenSpec Directory
  • One-click links to more than three dozen quick--reference checklists on a variety of building green topics.
  • Requires Adobe Reader version 6 (included), which runs on:
    • Mac OS X (10.2.3 or above), or
    • Windows (98 SE or above)

"One of the best [building CDs], in my opinion, is the EBN CD [EBNA].... There are excellent articles about the materials that I use, and the information access is so efficient and fast. I like that you can print the articles out to show your customers a new product, or a new technique."
Zolton B. Cohen, Buzz Burrell Writer, Builder (resp.), Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Builder/Architect
