We all hear the term low APR credit cards. What does this mean? A low APR means that you will not be charged as much interest on your purchases. A low interest rate is what one wants when applying for a credit card. A low APR is a low interest rate. If a credit card company is offering a low APR, that information will be the first thing you see. That is because that credit card company wants you apply for their credit card.

There are a lot off credit cards that offer low APR for the first few months. This simply means that the credit card company will charge you a low APR for say the first six months. After the first six months your low APR will go up to a high APR on that credit card Some credit card companies will have no APR charge for the first few months. After the intro period than the credit card will have an APR rate that may still be low, but may also be high.

To keep a low APR one needs to pay off the credit card balance monthly. This let's the credit card company know they have found a trusting applicant for their credit card.

Getting a Low Apr Credit Card

Getting a low APR credit card is not that hard. You can apply for one just about anywhere. Applying for these low APR credit cards is the same as applying for any credit card. You can receive the application in the mail. Just fill out the application and mail it back in to the company. Most credit card companies supply a postage paid envelope for returning the application. Pretty easy, huh? One may also apply for a low APR credit card online.

There are a few web sites that allow the user to compare many different credit cards with low APR's. Comparing your choices make getting a credit card a lot easier. One can compare APR's and annual fees. These are the charges that will appear on your credit card statement, monthly and yearly. Many discount and grocery stores also have their own credit cards and may offer a low APR rate.

Getting the perfect credit card is hard, but finding a credit card with a low or 0% APR is almost the perfect credit card. As long as we can get the low APR to stay low or at 0% we will have it made. So lets go over this again. Apply for the almost perfect credit card just about anywhere. At home, at the mall, at any store or online. So lets go out there and find that low APR credit card, you know, the one that is almost the perfect credit card.

Almost meaning that there is no perfect credit card, but a low APR sure does make it a lot better, at least I think so.
