Credit Reports May Have Mistakes
It is a very good idea to get a copy of your personal credit report once a year to check for mistakes. Mistakes you could find on your credit report are; name spelled wrong, wrong license number, wrong address, wrong phone number, wrong social security number, wrong employment information and of course wrong overdue bills. All of these mistakes should be fixed as soon as possible. Any of the mistakes can lead to trouble for you.
Wrong Spelling of Your Name Found on Your Credit Report
If you have received a copy of your credit report and see that the credit bureau has not spelled your name correctly, call the bureau as soon as possible to have this fixed. The wrong spelling of your name can lead to trouble for you if you need to qualify for a loan or other services. If you apply to a lender with one name but your credit report has a different name, the lender may not find your credit report to be able to help you.
Even worse they may get a different persons report in the place of yours. Call the bureau immediately to have the mistake fixed. You could be sorry in the future if you do not fix it.

When you get your drivers license at age sixteen, you are given a special, all your own, license number. This number follows with information about you such as your hair color, eye color, height, weight, age and social security number. If your credit report has the wrong license number then you could has some one else information. Your own information could be bad enough, so why would you want to have some one else bad information.

The wrong information on your credit report can lead to identity theft. If your credit report has the wrong social security number, chances are that some one else may have your social security number. If your social security number gets in to the wrong hands, well I think you know what can happen. This wrong person can get all kinds of your personal information from simply having your social security number.
Fixing the Mistakes on Your Credit Report
Fixing the mistakes you may have found on your credit report is very important. If you do not call the credit bureau and get this situation resolved as soon as possible then you will surely pay for it in the future. It is easy to get your credit report mistakes fixed if you at least give it a try. Do not let it go until tomorrow. You know that tomorrow may never come.
