  Data streams: PVC1, PVC2 and PVC3

SADIS delivers WAFS products in digital, chart and alphanumeric formats, as well as other character-orientated OPMET information required for pre-flight planning and flight documentation.

PVC1

GRIB 1 (WAFS) (8.4 Mb four times a day) consisting of wind, temperature and humidity forecasts for standard levels, forecast height of tropopause and maximum wind for T+6 to T+36 using a gridded binary code (WMO FM 92-IX Ext - GRIB). The forecast is made four times a day from the aviation run of the Unified Model issued at around 0335 UTC/0935 UTC/1535 UTC/2135 UTC.

PVC2

OPMET (10 Mb a day) includes METARs, TAFs, SIGMETs, SPECIs, special AIREPs, ADMIN messages, and Chart AMENDS and volcanic ash and tropical cyclone advisories.

PVC3

T.4 charts (32 Mb a day) wind/temperature and SIGWX T4 charts for the standard ICAO areas as specified in ANPs, produced by WAFC London, and WAFC Washington. Volcanic Ash Dispersion advisories in graphical format when available will be issued on this channel. High level BUFR (SIGWX) produced by WAFC London (1 Mb a day).
