The Glen is set in two acres and is an ideal base for tours to the Lakes and Border regions of Scotland or as a stopping off point. It was built in 1830 and was once in Scotland, being north of Hadrians wall. The Glen is a single story long house cottage, typical of the many dotted around Scotland. The walls are over 20 inches thick and built up of a mixture of red sandstone and large granite pebbles.
It's run by Nigel and Karen who aim to make your stay as plesant as possible. Breakfast is served between 7am - 10am. There is a wide selection of home produced and local fresh foods to cater for all tastes, along with our freerange eggs, you won't find a better breakfast to start the day.
