Web Site Designer Certificate Program

In this course you will learn how to build visually stunning, intuitively navigable, web site solutions with experts in a busy Design Studio!

The Web Design Certification course provides a complete set of essential skills for Web Designers using the most up to date techniques and software available.

You will be able to view current and past northStudio.com web sites, and design work. Some course material will be from our team of senior and junior Designers experience currently working at northStudio.com.

Following this course a student can then apply for the Free Post Graduate Internship Work Experience Program (IWEP) or the Entrepreneurial Work Experience Program (EWEP). The Free Post Graduate Internship Work Experience Program complements the Web Design Course and solidifies the classroom experience while providing a large portfolio for student use. The Entrepreneurial Work Experience Program allows you to develop your own web site drawing from the guidance and resources of the northStudio.com team. Have the entire team at your disposal as you build your very own project and gain valuable work experience.

Project: You will independently plan, design and complete a Web Sitethat meets or exceeds the needs of you or your client. You will choose a web site that you would like to develop for yourself, a client, potential client, or friend. This project does not have to be just a pretend web site. We encourage all students to create a real-world solution. Once completed you will publish and then market your web site on the Internet. Students are encouraged to choose a project of their choice that may benefit themselves such as an online portfolio or web site to sell their services. Some students in the past have built a web site during the course for a client as their project. Hosting will be provided by northStudio.com with an IP address for as long as you are a student. This includes an e-mail address and area to FTP or transfer files. The hosting account comes with all the extras including bulletin boards, guestbooks, password protected directories, email lists, error pages, scripts, chat rooms, mySQL databases, php and more.

Goal Summary: Upon completion of this course you will be able to create, manage, update, and consult on web sites for small, medium and large size businesses. You will be able to interact and manage clients as well as the web site you are creating. Your final project will be to create a fully functioning web site, publish and then market it on the internet.

Certificate: Upon successful completion of your web site you will be awarded a Certificate of Web Design
