This detached converted farmhouse sleeps up to 12 people and stands in approximately 1.3 acres of it’s own grounds with open fields to the rear. It is ideal for those who welcome the thought of a peaceful and relaxing holiday, but with many local activities and interesting sights also easily accessible.

The property is situated in La Baroche-Gondouin, less than 5 minutes drive from the picturesque market town of Lassay les Chateaux. The town has many amenities including restaurants, shops, cafes and most importantly, boulangeries for your fresh bread every morning! Lassay is situated in the Normandie-Maine Regional Nature Park and National Forest. The castle in the village is one of three in the area and is open to the public. The lake next it holds some very large fish and day permits for fishing are available. There is a mid week market held in the village, and many small shops providing a true taste of rural France. Just outside the village, towards the house, is a supermarket which provides all the essentials you will need for your holiday. The spa town of Bagnoles de L'Orne is 10 minutes drive away and can offer several restaurants plus a casino, golf course, tennis courts & swimming pool. The Spa itself can offer a wide range of various beauty treatments, and has a hot spring renowned for it's healing properties. The parkland provides superb views and is a lovely place for taking a leisurely stroll, or even cycling.

The spacious games room overlooks the garden and is open plan with high-beamed ceiling. There is ample seating in the lounge area and it is equipped with pool table, table football, darts and music system. The sizeable lounge is very impressive with original features and open fireplace. The TV is connected to a DVD player, video and Sony Playstation. There is a large supply of board games, puzzles and childrens outdoor toys. There is a small supply of CD's, Videos, DVD's and Playstation games at the property, but please feel free to bring your own as well if you wish. The house is traditionally furnished throughout, with the exception of the games room wing which has a modern feel to it.

This is a very spacious property with many traditional features including open fireplaces. A selection of patio furniture and a bbq are available so you can enjoy meals and drinks al-fresco. There is parking for several cars and the property is fenced to keep it contained from the road.
