Are You Building a Work at Home Business or Office - You Better Get Googled!
Have you Googled your Work At Home? Why not? Afraid of people invading your privacy? Sorry - it has already been invaded! Whether we like to admit it or not, the dawning of the Internet and the Information Technology has taken away everyone privacy anyway. Any one who wants to find information on you can do so with very little effort. And if you are trying to get established as a work at home business you need to market yourself anyway! So Get Googled and in a few minutes anyone who knows your name will know quite a bit about you and what you have to offer!
Try it out - go to Google (www.google.com) and type in your name! If you have a website, post on any forums, or sell on Ebay or do pretty much anything on the Internet you have been caught in the world wide web curtesy of Google.
Bas as this may be for personal privacy, it is very good news if you are trying to establish credibility for your work at home. This means if you focus some of your marketing and promotion time on getting your name out on the web, you are building your exposure and credibility for your work at home.
So How Does Being Googled Build Credibility for Your Work at Home ?
The more searches that lead to you - the more people will hear your name and recognize it - them more credible you have become.
The fastest way to do this is to write a couple of really information rich and key word rich articles and post them on your website. This might take a little bit of time and research - but the rewards are worth it. Within a month or so your name will pop up and lead to your site on google shortly after that your name will also pop up on other web search sites. Your Work At Home is now getting exposure.
If I Do That is My Work at Home Now Credible?
It is well on its way but the work doesn't stop there. Keep writing really information rich articles and posting them on your website. You can also offer your articles to other websites to use (under the condition that they include your name as the author of course). Remember these have to be information rich articles. Fluff articles written about yourself or your business will not build the credibility that informative well researched articles will bring.
You will not suddenly get an onslaught of new clients directly from your articles, but you will get them indirectly. For example, if I am solicited by someone I do not know, I Google them to find out more about them and see if they are someone I want to get to know better.
If you send out direct mailings to pick up new customers for your work at home letting them know about the services or products you offer, you can bet that some of those prospects will Google you. Take control over what they find and build your credibility!
