Also another thing book keeping, business plans and budgeting not only for advertising but for overhead and other expenses. There also needs to be a business checking account and a business telephone line installed expressly for the home business.

Living expenses, incedental expenses are just two of the overhead that are considered with a home business. A good rule is to have at least six months of cash and living expenses to get you by while your home business is growing. Also have a line of credit handy, this includes business lines of credit.
Make a budget and stick to it. Budget all your costs, advertising, maintenence on vehicle, business phone line, other business expenses, and stick to it. Don't spend money when it comes in, reinvest it into the business. That way the business is solvent and keeps on going. It is too easy to spend money when it is coming in instead of saving it, but save it and reinvest it is the best way to go. This keeps you on a budget not only for your business but for yourself as well. That helps everything go smoothly.
