First, do your homework on the companies that offer these opportunities. Read the fine print, ask to speak to someone that has been working in a particular business that you are interested in. Ask for references. Be realistic in your small business opportunity. Don't expect to make a million dollars by the end of year one. Beware of ads that promise "get rich quick" schemes.
