Internet Home Based Business
Internet Home Based Business Ideas are as numerous as store front business ideas. The biggest thing to remember is that like the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If the business you are checking out promises a lot of money for very little work, it is more than likely, that you shouldn't get involved with it. To be successful you have to be willing to do the amount of work required to make your business a success.
Internet Home Based Business Frauds - Mlm
There are a lot of Multi-Level Marketing businesses in the category of Internet home based business ideas. This is the main type of fraudulent business on the Internet. The reason for this is, MLM businesses are illegal and the internet is still a wide open market with very little policing. I would compare it to how the robber barons did business in the 19th century.
One big problem with online MLM sites is the fact that many news departments of major networks do not touch this story, this is a personal opinion, but this could be because a lot of these sites buy half hour blocks of advertising time to run infomercials about their "innovative money making ideas".
These are actually quite interesting to watch as far as infomercials go, because they never show you a product like most commercials do. They are mainly showing testimonials from satisfied customers. They also never have a price quotation, instead they tell you you can make thousands of dollars for just pennies a day, or a small one time investment, that is never clarified into a specific dollar amount. They will also tell you how little the time investment is, making it sound like the biggest thing and most time consuming thing is cashing your checks.
There will be a web site address on the infomercial, for you to go look at. A good sign that it is an MLM site is that they will start explaining up lines and down lines pretty much immediately, without any or at most very little explanation of the product. Unfortunately the people who run sites like this are very hard to pin down with any information at all until you pay the fees.
I am reminded of the old ad in comic books where they would tell you how to make a lot of money if you sent a One dollar money order and a self addressed stamped envelope, and when you did they would send you a letter telling you to put an ad somewhere promising a lot of money for a one dollar money order and with an SASE.
One type of online site that does offer a product is a health care or herbal medicine site. These actually have a lot of success selling products that offer to make you healthier with less effort. It is a very good idea to do some research into the product, as it may not really offer any health benefit and in some cases could actually jeopardize your health.
The site tries to get you to sell their product to friends, family and co-workers so don't be surprised if a friend or acquaintance tries to sell you vitamins, herbs, homeopathic remedies, weight-loss powders, or other health-related products. Now this is quite an insidious approach, because it is hard to turn down a friend or loved one, especially if they are convinced of their product's benefits.
These sites often do very well, because we live in an age where most of us don't get a lot of exercise in our work, tend to drive everywhere and have a lot more sedentary leisure time activities. However most of us are more conscious of health issues and have more access to health information than any generation before us.
Conversely, as a society, we want an easier way to get healthy so if we can take a pill rather than walk for 20 minutes, a lot of us will take the pill and watch 20 minutes of television 'So before you grab on to Internet health alternatives, make sure it actually is a healthy alternative and not a placebo.
Internet Home Based Business Notes
So some things to keep in mind when you are trying to find some type of Internet home based business is to not go after what sounds like easy cash. Do your research and look for a business idea that interests you. You will not be happy, or do the amount of work needed to be successful, if you are not interested in what you are doing.
