If You Decide to Go Further with the Home Based Business Opportunity
If the ad has passed the tests above and you have decided you want to try the business opportunity you should do some further investigation.
If the ad offers a website address this is a great way to do more investigating. Scroll to the bottom of the home page.If there is a catch it is usually at the bottom of the text. It usually asks for money so that you can start your business. Ask yourself: Does the money go towards materials that will help start your business or does the site even say?
Take a look at the site itself. Does it look cheap and unprofessional? This is a big clue because if they claim you can make tons of money with this opportunity then why can't they spring for a better website?
If the advertisement offers a phone number make sure it is toll free; never call a number that isn't free. The scam may simply be to collect charges from your phone.
Also, never give a company your personal information until you see that they are an honest company.
The Biggest Test of a Home Based Business Opportunity.
The biggest test for any business is how you feel about it.
Is it is worth your time, money and sacrifice? Are the people involved with the business well known? Did you check with the Better Business Bureau to see if the business was even listed? Do you have a suspicion the website is not giving you the complete information on the business?
If you don't like the answers to these questions then move on to something else. A get-rich-quick scheme isn't worth your time unless you know it is legit.
