Your personal credit report is available online. If you believe that your credit report my have errors on it, you should get a copy to make sure and fix those errors. Some web sites online offer a free copy of your personal credit report. They may ask you to sign up for a free trial of a check monitoring service. You do not have to stay with the service to get your copy of your credit report. There are three major credit reporting agencies. You can go to each one of their web sites and get a copy of your report, also.
Single Parents with Bad Credit Reports
Many single parents are unfortunately racked with bad credit. This includes single mothers and single fathers. Sometimes the bad credit comes from a divorce, sometimes the bad credit come from the sudden death of a spouse. Sometimes the bad credit is caused by the single parent by just being bad at managing their money. If you are one of the unlucky single parents needing help with your bad credit, there is help available. The bank you have your accounts with will most likely help you.
You can research online for help with your bad credit. Many companies online offer help for single parents with bad credit. There are options of loans and credit cards and debt counseling. There is help if you look for and ask for it.
Credit Reports Have a Scoring Procedure
The credit score that appears on your personal credit report is the same scoring procedure used for every person. The credit reporting agencies do not use different scoring for different people. All the credit scores are done the same way. If you have a past due bill on your credit report, you will have a few points taken off your credit score. If you have several past due bills on your credit report, you will have several points taken off your credit score.
If you have moved around a lot from house to house or from apartment to apartment, this can also make you have a lower credit score. Just simply because you have not had a permanent residence lasting a year or more. Lots of things affect your credit score. Just remember that the credit reporting agencies are not picking on you, the same scoring procedure is used for every one and there is no special procedure just for your credit report.
Credit Reporting Agencies
There are three major credit reporting agencies. They are; Experian, Trans Union and Equifax. Each of these three companies offer a copy of your credit report. Some of the companies may have different information then others do. With all the information all together from the three agencies, one can decide your complete credit score. Each credit report agency will have their own credit score on your personal report. The credit score is not set in stone. If you see an error on your personal report you can ask for the credit agency to fix this problem for you.
