Occasion: The Chick Trip

So you're ditching the guys and heading to Vegas? Excellent move!

Q: I'm coming to Vegas with three of my girlfriends, and we're looking to meet some guys just for fun. Where can we go to dance and drink with some good-looking men?

A: Rain Las Vegas at the Palms and rumjungle at Mandalay Bay should be at the top of your list. If you're looking for some body shots off the bartenders, head over to The Beach on Convention Center Drive. Just don't be surprised if someone offers to drink tequila off you. And no girls' trip to Vegas is complete without a visit to Men, the Show or Thunder from Down Under.

Q: I just finalized my divorce, and a bunch of us are celebrating in Vegas. I want to have a good time, but not with a bunch of college kids. Where are the hot bars and clubs for a slightly more grown-up crowd?

A: First you gotta have a few drinks at Little Buddha at the Palms. Next, check out the Chippendales at the Rio -- those guys are sure to get your mind off that pesky divorce. For a little dancing, hit the House of Blues on Saturday for '70s night. You could also try Light at Bellagio or Studio 54 at MGM Grand; both usually draw a broad crowd.

Q: I'm coming to Vegas with my mom -- just us girls. We want to see a show, eat at fancy restaurants and go shopping. What do you suggest?

A: Ah, Vegas is all about pampering. You'll score serious points with Mom if you take her to see Mamma Mia! at Mandalay Bay -- nothing beats ABBA. Spend a day shopping at either the Fashion Show or Desert Passage. The recently expanded Forum Shops is another must on the shopping circuit. While you're there, you and Mom can enjoy a leisurely lunch at Spago -- it will give you a chance to refuel, people watch and plan your attack for the rest of your day. If you're looking for a luxurious day trip, check out the Champagne Shopping Tour. On the tour, you will enjoy champagne as you are whisked away in a luxury vehicle to the Fashion Outlet mall in Primm, Nev., for a day of shopping. Finish the day off with high tea at Four Seasons. After this vacation with Mom, she'll write you back into her will.
