Let Us Start This Simply, Without a Personal Credit Report at Least Once a Year You Don't Know What is Going on with Your Future.
To me, a personal credit report is akin to that dreaded yearly physical, seldom enjoyed but necessary to function without worry and doubt.
In my younger years, I learned that the hard way, I thought credit was like money in the bank, and much like my twenties I squandered it, by building up some bad debt and demolishing my future, or at least my future for the next several years. The lesson that I have learned is, that credit is not free money, you have got to treat it with respect or it will come back to haunt you just when you need it to be your friend the most.
So, in my experience the importance of obtaining a personal credit report is paramount, it protects you and when things are amiss you can deal with them as they crop up.
These Days, Many Reputable Companies Offer Free Personal Credit Reports and One Would Be a Fool Not to Take Advantage of Such an Offer.
If I had that option I would never have run into the difficulty with my credit rating that I have. Take my advice, get online, do a search and find a company that does personal credit reports. Many of these companies have the better business bureau stamp, which gives extra clout to their reports. Picture it, with good credit the world is your oyster. A credit report could stop you from buying that extra little something you don't need, but badly lust after.
So, know your limits by putting your hopes and future in the hands of the credit professionals. Unfortunately, I didn't have the Google powered search engine when I ran into trouble. All I had was the manager at the bank telling me I couldn't have my loan for some badly needed house repairs, and I just couldn't understand.
Personal Credit Reports are the Definition of Who We Are.
They dictate where we live, the food we eat, where our kids go to school and our basic status in life. With bad credit, the future can be a bleak and dark place, as I found out so quickly when my credit disappeared. Think about it, you spend years building up good credit, and it can be obliterated in a matter of months, one bill late or unpaid and bang it's gone.
Credit is very similar to an appendage, for example your arm or leg, without it you simply cannot function to the level you were used to. You have to learn to live in a world where all you can have is what you can buy with cold hard cash, and knowing the interest rates you would be paying that is not much.
So go on, bite the bullet and get your personal credit report, protect your credit and your future. Don't be like me, educate yourself, spend within your budget, plan for tomorrow and buy that house or car that you need.
