The Entelligence Web Plug-in provides the following key features:

Web authentication

• authenticates Web users through digital ID-based mutual identification, allowing organizations to determine who is accessing their sites, while also allowing users to confirm that they are accessing the intended site versus a 'look-alike'

Information privacy

• offers high-strength data encryption using algorithms such as Triple-DES or CAST 128 and others

Strong password security

• users must login to the Web Plug-in from their own computers
• the rest of the identification process is done using certificate-based security
• single sign-on capabilities delivered by Entrust Entelligence™ Desktop Manager also reduces the chances of anyone accessing a password locally

Digital signatures

• verifies that a transaction has been sent by a particular user
• persistent digital signature feature captures form data and the Web page text that users agree to when confirming a transaction
• unlike applications that only sign the data fields of forms, Entrust Entelligence Web Plug-in signs the complete HTML context with the user's signing keys, leaving no doubt about content and context of the transaction
• administrators can choose to force users to re-enter their password when signing a transaction in order to provide stronger password security and verification

Helps to meet government legislation and standards

• built on cryptographic engines that have been validated to government standards such as FIPS 140-1

Automated security management and administration

• supports automatic and transparent user registration for key generation and certificate importing; key updating; and certificate revocation list (CRL) checking

Interoperability with all major browsers
