WebMail Center
Entrust Entelligence WebMail Center is designed for organizations that wish to exchange secure e-mail with external customers and partners who do not have certificates or S/MIME capabilities within their own e-mail applications.
WebMail Center is an optional add-on to the Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server and works with both Microsoft® Outlook®/Microsoft® Exchange® and Lotus Notes® messaging systems. With WebMail Center, users need not be concerned whether their recipients know how to use digital certificates or S/MIME. Through a simple Web browser and a Web-based e-mail account, recipients will be able to retrieve, read and reply to any secure e-mails delivered through the Entrust Entelligence WebMail Center.
Secure Web-based communications
Upon receiving a secure Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes e-mail, the Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server will store the encrypted message on the server, and notify the intended recipient using a plain-text notification e-mail. Once authenticated to the Entrust Entelligence WebMail Center portal, the recipient can retrieve and decrypt the message, and reply using an SSL-secured link.
Simplified deployment
- helps reduce concerns about external user capabilities
- no need for client S/MIME support or certificates in external e-mail clients
Customized functionality
- if a recipient replies to the e-mail notification with a certificate, the user is configured to receive e-mail through normal S/MIME delivery
Compliance
- 'open', Web-based approach enables faster compliance with regulatory demands for secure messaging with external customers and partners
