ELEPHANT ADVENTURE, HILLTRIBES AND MAE KOK RIVER
[JEEP TOUR]
The tour starts from your hotel and transfer you to the river
pier to the long tail boat pier and ride down the Mae Kok River by a
long-tailed speed boat and enjoy splendid scenery on both sides of the
river. You arrive at the Karen Hilltribes Village where the elephant camp
lies. Historically, the Karens have always been a good Elephant Keeper/Trainer.
Enjoy your ride through jungle trek, passing through the rice paddy field and
the rivers. This ride takes about 2 hours to the Yao Hilltribes village
for lunch.
Next you will be taken to visit the Yao and Akha Hilltribes,
both of whom have their own culture & custom. Hike up to the waterfall. If
you like, you can take a dip. On the way home, you will stop by the Chiang
Rai Handicraft Center, famous for its celadon pottery and cotton fashion.
Sometimes demonstrations are available.
