Plant Information Service

  • Need to know which plants are the best to use in your landscape?
  • Do you wonder what's been eating your plants?

Bring your questions and samples to the Garden's Plant Information Service located in the Gateway Center. Our horticulturists and our Master Gardeners trained by the University of Illinois will help you solve your plant problems. An extensive library, Garden publications, a video monitor microscope and lots of practical experience are available to assist you.

Monday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
November - March:
Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
