A Web Hosting Partner - What a Concept!
The other day I came across a web hosting company with a wonderful vision: to "partner with me so that my website dreams can be realized".
Further, it was quite clear to me, in their very brief introduction, that this web hosting company is passionate about their work. They would love my business. And more than just supplying me with a web hosting service, they want to provide a service which gives an overall 'website experience'. They regard their web hosting contribution to my business as an integral factor to my business' growth and profitability! They value ME as one of their customers - they are concerned that their web hosting will make me a happy customer!
Web Hosting - No Different to Any Other Business
Now for me, this is quite a seller - web hosting is such a large, vast, competitive industry, that it now comes down to business basics. Happy customers. Forget what web hosting facilities are provided - almost every one of the millions of web hosting companies out there have similar packages.
It's come back down to the 'what's in it for me' factor. And I have to say, the said web hosting company appear to have realized that. They've moved their focus from all the technical aspects on offer - these may impress some. But for those like me, all the techno-buzz is only confusing. Rather, this web hosting company has zoomed in on the personal aspect.
After all, by its nature, the internet is so impersonal anyway. This web hosting company has brought the personal 'it matters' back into business. It matters to them that I, as a real live person, am happy. It matters that I'm not only happy with what I can get from my web hosting package, but that I'm also happy with the service from the web hosting company providing the package.
Web Hosting with Vision
Not only does this web hosting company want me to be a happy customer now, they also want me to succeed! Now I doubt that's just because they're nice people. I'd imagine it's got more to do with our mutual future. If I succeed, they keep me as a happy customer. If I'm only one of many happy customers, this in turn keeps them in business!
If I'm a happy customer AND successful, chances are my web hosting requirements will grow and soon I'd be upgrading my web hosting package. Highly likely, the upgrade will take place with this wonderful web hosting company who has valued me from the start! We both stay happy - we both stay in business! Now that's what I call business partners....
As a parting thought - this web hosting company is surely not the only one with vision. It's just added a new dimension to the long list of considerations when looking for a web hosting company. Basic really...
