Mohill and Dromod are villages located in Co
Leitrim on the Upper River Shannon system, situated about 17 kms to the south east of Carrick on Shannon and
145 kms from Dublin.
WHERE TO FISH
These centres are surrounded by a number of important
and productive coarse lakes, and the Rinn River. 11 fisheries in all are described on this guide. The
Shannon Regional Fisheries Board have angling structures on some of the lakes.
With the aid of
T.A.M (Tourism Angling Measure), Leitrim County Council in collaboration
with the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board erected an information board at
the village of Mohill which has finger
signs indicating the more productive waters in the area. This
will assist visiting anglers in locating such fisheries together
with regulations in three languages - French, German and
English.
