How to Be a Healthy Home Business Owner

What has health got to do with a home business? Plenty! Without health, there's no work. When there's no work, there's no income. No income, no business. Simple enough.

That's why we can't emphasize this enough - home business owners should take EXTRA care of themselves. There's no medical coverage, insurance policies and definitely no sick-leaves for home business owners. So, no work, no pay. How does that sound?

Becoming an Obsessive Home Business Owner

At the launching point of a home business, it is easy to get obsessive with the business startup. We sleep, think, bathe, read, watch, see, hear, eat, drink nothing but the home business. Believe us, this can get out of hand. Often, this would mean sitting in front of the computer or remaining in one single position for an extended period of time. There's a possibility of cutting back on exercise just so the business could take off. That's an imaginable possibility, isn't it?

Therefore, many home business owners thought they would lose weight with the amount of work they have to do for their home business but in actual fact, they start gaining an insane amount of weight - uncontrollably. And they don't even know why! Taking control of the time and managing the schedule is the key to solving one these problems.

Make Time for Home Business, Make Time for Me

If you use an organizer to organize your time during the day, then take a look at it now and see if you've written 'exercise' into your schedule. If you don't use an organizer, can you remember when was the last time you have moved a muscle and have sweated through your t-shirt?

Finding the time for exercise is important. If there's a particularly favored sport, go for it at least once a week. Take walks in the morning or evening (whichever you prefer), don't fail to take your dog out or just walk up and down the stairs 50 laps. That'll do the trick. Whatever it is, we need to move around.

Home Business Gobbler

Another problem for home business owners is this: eating is a waste of time and time is money, so eat fast! Research shows that the faster you eat, the fatter you'll potentially turn out to be. Our bodies take at least 20 minutes to register the feeling of being full, therefore, if food is gobbled down in 1 minute flat, we could be eating more than required.

Don't think about your home business during meal times, keep the mind clear and focused on ENJOYING THE FOOD. It takes a lot of practice to shut the mind off when it is thinking about something as important as a home business but with practise, this can be done.

The Fitness Corner

If time is an issue and running out to go to the gym is impractical, then set up a small corner as the home business gym. Spend at least 45 minutes there working out and then take 15 minutes to relax and cool down in front of the TV or reading a book, shower and then you can simply crawl back to your home office table feeling refreshed and recharged.
