silver salmon

Wild Silver Salmon are aggressive biters and are known for their acrobatic fights, making them the favorite of anglers. These fish can be quite a handful especially on light tackle. Once they arrive, action is nonstop and limits are common. Returns to the Kenai River support the largest recreational freshwater silver salmon fishery in Alaska. These fish are popular on the Russian River as well as the Kasilof.  Visit our silver salmon gallery for more photos of these magnificent fish.

20# Kenai Silver Season: August 4 - September 30.  Silver Salmon start entering the Kenai in late July and fishing usually stays good through late September.
