Global Partnership for NGO Studies, Education
and Training
The Global Partnership (GP), is a collaboration between BRAC in Bangladesh
and the School for International Training (SIT) in the United States.
GP offers a Postgraduate Diploma in NGO Leadership and Management and
a corresponding master's degree that provide rigorous and relevant coursework
in NGO leadership and management.
Master of Arts in Intercultural
Service, Leadership, and Management
A self-designed option for students with specific career development
needs or who wish to explore several career alternatives.
Master of Science in Organizational
Management
Preparation for management careers in nonprofit organizations and in
a wide variety of other organizational contexts. Students develop the
skills most sought after by nonprofit, nongovernmental (NGO), and for-profit
sectors, including expertise in human and financial resource management,
strategic management, applications of information technology, and social
entrepreneurship.
SIT Study Abroad
The following SIT Study Abroad programs focus on issues of NGOs and
civil society:
SIT's Organizational Management Summer
Institute
Prepares skilled professionals with the capacity to manage organizations
responsibly -- economically, socially, and environmentally. With leading
faculty and a curriculum geared toward international professionals from
both nonprofit organizations and for-profit socially responsible corporations,
SIT offers courses rarely found at most graduate schools of business
and management. Courses are offered in an innovative format, combining
a short-term SIT residence and online learning.
Southeast Asia Fellows (SAF)
The SAF program addresses the education and training needs of development
professionals in Southeast Asia. Participants may be members of an international
NGO, a community-based and -focused organization, or other groups concerned
with regional sustainable development. They will develop knowledge and
skills in such areas as intercultural training, teambuilding, strategic
planning, conflict transformation, human resource management, fund development,
media advocacy, and issues of gender in development.
